4. Shopify and Shopify Network Intelligence
Shopify provides the ecommerce platform used to operate our store and processes personal data to deliver its services.
Our store has Shopify Network Intelligence enabled. Shopify uses information from interactions and transactions in our store together with information from interactions with other merchants and with Shopify to provide enhanced services, including analytics, personalization, and advertising.
For these enhanced services, Shopify acts as an independent data controller.
Information is shared with Shopify and its service providers, including providers located outside Switzerland, as explained in the international transfers section below.
Advertising based on your activity in our store, with other merchants, and with Shopify requires your consent. You can withdraw that consent through the available cookie preference controls or exercise relevant rights directly with Shopify.
For further information, please consult:
Shopify’s Privacy Portal explains how to request deletion, withdraw consent, or object to relevant processing by Shopify.
5. Payment Processing
We use Shopify Payments to process online payments and offer Shop Pay as an accelerated checkout option.
Payment and transaction data are processed by Shopify and its payment partners to complete payments, manage refunds, and prevent fraud.
The payment information available to us depends on the method used and includes the transaction details necessary to manage your order.
For further information, please review Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy.
6. Delivery with Swiss Post
We use Swiss Post to deliver orders within Switzerland.
We share the recipient’s name, delivery address, and shipment information necessary to arrange delivery. Contact details are shared where needed for delivery notifications.
Swiss Post processes delivery data in accordance with its own obligations and privacy notices.
For further information, please review Swiss Post’s data protection notice for its services.
7. Store Applications and Marketing Communications
Our store has the following Shopify applications installed:
-
Shopify Translate & Adapt: used to manage translated and localized store content.
-
Shopify Messaging: available to manage marketing communications.
Where we use Shopify Messaging for promotional communications, we process the contact details, subscription preferences, and relevant customer information needed to manage those communications.
Promotional messages are sent when you have subscribed or another legally permitted basis applies. You can unsubscribe using the link provided in the message or by contacting us.
Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending communications necessary to manage your orders.
These applications are provided by Shopify. Further information is available in Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy.
8. Other Disclosures
In addition to the providers described above, personal data may be disclosed to:
-
Professional advisers where necessary for accounting, legal advice, or handling claims.
-
Authorities where disclosure is legally required.
-
Other recipients where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
Disclosures are limited to the information relevant to the applicable purpose.
9. International Data Transfers
Although we deliver orders only within Switzerland, personal data is also processed outside Switzerland through Shopify’s infrastructure and service providers.
Customer data from Switzerland is initially processed by Shopify International Limited in Ireland. Further processing can take place in countries including Canada and the United States, as well as the countries identified in Shopify’s current Subprocessor List.
Shopify uses the transfer mechanisms described in its Data Processing Addendum, including binding corporate rules and, where applicable, standard contractual clauses adapted to the relevant legal requirements.
Swiss Post states that it primarily processes data in Switzerland and also uses providers abroad, particularly in the European Union and European Economic Area. Its privacy notice describes the safeguards used for other international transfers.
Where a destination does not provide an adequate level of data protection, international transfers require appropriate safeguards or another basis permitted by applicable law.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our store uses Shopify cookies and similar technologies for essential functions such as shopping cart management, checkout, authentication, security, and remembering relevant preferences.
Shopify also provides technologies for reporting, analytics, personalization, and marketing, subject to the applicable consent requirements and your choices.
Our Shopify cookie banner is configured to display to visitors in Switzerland. Through the banner, you can accept or reject non-essential cookies or adjust your preferences.
To change your choices, use the available cookie preference controls. If you cannot access those controls, please contact us for assistance. You can also exercise relevant rights concerning Shopify’s processing through Shopify’s Privacy Portal.
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect the functioning of the store.
Cookie lifetimes vary. Session cookies expire when the browsing session ends, while persistent cookies remain until their expiry or deletion. Shopify publishes cookie names, purposes, and durations in the “Merchant storefronts” section of its Cookie Policy.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
11. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, taking account of legal obligations and the need to handle claims.
-
Order and accounting records: retained for the applicable statutory retention periods.
-
Customer enquiries: retained as long as necessary to resolve the request and manage related follow-up. Communications forming part of an order, complaint, or legal claim are retained for the corresponding period.
-
Customer accounts: retained while the account is active, with further retention where necessary to meet legal obligations or handle claims.
-
Marketing information: retained while the subscription remains active. Limited information may be retained after unsubscribing to respect that preference.

For processing carried out by Shopify as an independent controller, you can also use Shopify’s Privacy Portal.
If you believe your personal data is being processed unlawfully, you can contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, data processing practices, or legal requirements.
The current version will be published on this page with its update date. Where required, we will provide additional notice of significant changes.
